Class Descriptions

Acro Program:

Elevate Dance Center is a certified studio for the Acrobatic Arts curriculum. Under the direction of certified Acrobatic Arts instructor, Kelly Pitcher, our acro program has grown rapidly. Acro is a relatively new dance genre which emphasizes strength and flexibility and teaches students skills related to contortion and tumbling. Students are placed in their leveled class by Elevate staff in accordance with the Acrobatic Arts leveling curriculum, and each class performs one routine in the recital.

HAIR: please secure all long hair in a bun or tight braid. Students in this class work on skills that involve being upside down, and long hair in the face is a distraction and could lead to injury.

Preschool AcroDance (ages 3-4)
Class length: 30 minutes
Attire:

Leotard (any color), jazz shorts (any color), no tights
Boys: t-shirt (any color) and athletic pants or shorts (any color)
Shoes: Bare feet
Additional: Additional equipment such as blocks may be required
Recital: Dancers in this class perform one routine in the recital

Intro to Acro (primary level; ages 5-6)
Class length: 45 minutes
