Class Descriptions
Ballet Program:
Our classical ballet program begins at age 6 and is under the direction of Ballet Mistress Christina Ackley. Students receive excellent classical training in a supportive and inspired environment. Please note that proper dance attire is expected at all ballet classes, and a neat bun is also a must for girls.
Pointe Program:
The pointe program at Elevate Dance Center is comprehensive and students must be approved for placement by Miss. Christina in conjunction with the studio director. Students interested in going en pointe should notify the Studio Director. Miss. Christina will let students know when they are ready to join Pre-Pointe, which is a pre-requisite to being accepted into the Pointe Program. To be accepted to the Pointe Program, students must have completed one full year of Pre-Pointe, must be enrolled in two 90-minute ballet classes at Elevate, and must also be enrolled in at least four additional hours of dance classes at Elevate.
Intro to Classical Ballet (6-7 years old)
Class length: 60 minutes
Attire:
Black leotard, pink tights, ballet bun (optional: ballet skirt, any color)
Boys: white t-shirt, black shorts
Shoes:
Pink ballet slippers
Boys: black ballet slippers
Recital: Dancers in this class perform one routine in the recital
Ballet I (8-10 years old)
Class length: 60 minutes
Attire:
Black leotard, pink tights, ballet bun (optional: ballet skirt, any color)
Boys: white t-shirt, black shorts
Shoes:
Pink ballet slippers
Boys: black ballet slippers
Recital: Dancers in this class perform one routine in the recital
Ballet II (9-11 years old)
Class length: 60 minutes

Ballet III (10-12 years old)
Class length: 90 minutes

Pre-Pointe (10-12 years old)
Class length: 30 minutes
Pre-Requisite: Must be enrolled in a 90-minute ballet class

Pink ballet slippers

Additional: Additional equipment such as stretching bands and yoga blocks may be required

Ballet IV (11-13 years old)

Pointe II (13+)
Class length: 90 minutes
